1-2 yearsThe Karma dahlia series have been bred especially to produce excellent and long-lasting cut flowers on strong stems. D. 'Karma Fuchsiana' has carmine-pink double flowers approximately 10-15 cm across, and dark green foliage.
Dahlias prefer a site in full sun, although they will tolerate some light shade. They grow best in soils that are moist but well drained.
Dahlias are divided into groups based on the appearance of their flowerheads. Waterlily dahlias have flowerheads that are double, and the petals are flat or have slighly incurved or recurved margins, giving the flowerheads a flattened appearance.
