My Garden is where you can design your own garden or allotment online. Using the Plantopedia and nursery you can store information about the plants in your garden; when and where you purchased them, and so on. You will be able to upload photos of your garden, and invite people to take virtual tours of your creation. You will have the choice of making your garden open to the public, or to keep this as a private work in progress. You will also be able to create garden clubs, where you and your friends can share hints and tips. You can also view other gardens for inspiration, rate them, help with hints and advice, ask questions and otherwise interact. This will be added in February.
At the heart of plantify.co.uk is our Plantopedia - a database of plants specifically designed for gardeners. You may search using characteristics that are important to gardeners, such as soil types or shade requirements. The database displays graphically how big the plant will be, shows flower and foliage colours, sowing and planting times, as well as suggestions for suitable styles of gardens, placement recommendations and so on.
If you register, you can help contribute to this database, as well as mark individual plants as favourites, rate plants, upload pictures and add your own hints and tips.
Plantify.co.uk is designed to be easily updated by you - simply log in and click on anything in My Garden, Nurseries or Plantopedia. You will be able to help complete information on plants and nurseries, add new plants, upload photographs and hints. A unique editorial system ensures that all updates are reviewed, ensuring that the quality of information on the database remains excellent.
