AGMThe soft pink flowers are lightly fragrant and bloom over a long period, adding interest to the late summer / autumn garden. Abelia is fairly slow growing and so is ideal for small gardens.
Abelia x grandiflora 'Hopleys' was awarded an AGM because the variegated foliage is more prominent than on other varieties (it is not smothered by dark green new growth as is so typical on many other varieties), and has a good record of winter hardines.
