10-20 yearsThe soft pink flowers are lightly fragrant and bloom over a long period, adding interest to the late summer / autumn garden. Abelia is fairly slow growing and so is ideal for small gardens.
Abelia 'Francis Mason' has variegated gold-green foliage and benefits from being grown in a warmer position - it will survive a frost, but is not fully hardy. 'Francis Mason' is a smaller and more compact variety. The gold leaf colour of this variety is at its best when planted in a sunny position.
