Description:
Abelia chinensis is a deciduous shrub with long arching branches and a spreading habit. It has small, dark green, glossy foliage which contrasts well with the clusters of open funnel shaped fragrant pale pink flowers that appear from June through to October. Its long flowering period makes it a good choice for a mixed border. Abelia chinensis likes a well-drained soil in full sun and is best grown in a sheltered spot or against a sunny wall.
