Description:
Acer palmatum 'Ukigumo nishiki' (also sometimes called 'Ukigomo') is a beautiful multi-branched small tree. The deeply divided leaves are green, with pink and white variegations, and often pink edges. Leaves turn bright red in autumn. It prefers a moist, well drained, mildly acidic soil, and the best leaf colour is obtained in partial shade. If grown in full sun it requires regular watering to prevent leaf scorch.
