AGMCamellia 'Freedom Bell' has small, but interesting semi-double flowers over an extended period (it is a early-tolate flowerer). It has been awarded an AGM.
Camellia are large shrubs, typically with dark evergreen leaves, usually leathery and glossy. The are best planted at the back of the border for structural effect and provide much needed colour over the winter season. They can be planted in containers.
Camellia prefer acidic soils. Do not plant too deeply. Camellias should be sheltered from cold, dry winds and early morning sun.
