Description:
Digitalis x mertonensis, commonly known as the Strawberry foxglove, is shorter than many other foxglove varieties, with flower stems 75cm tall bearing dusky pink flowers in summer above rosettes of deep green leaves. A natural hybridisation between the yellow-flowered D.grandiflora, and purple-flowered D.purpurea. It prefers a site in partial shade with a moist, well drained soil. A classic cottage garden plant.
