Description:
Dryopteris erythrosora is an extremely attractive semi-evergreen fern with triangular fronds that emerge as coppery red in spring and gradually mature to dark green. It grows best in moist, shady spots and is ideal for woodland planting or shady rock gardens. In colder areas the fronds will die back in winter.

The interesting colour supports planting in a shady area and works well with other ferns.

Dryopteris erythrosora prefers a moist location, but will tolerate dry shade if kept moist in its first year.
