Description:
Eryngium variifolium is an evergreen perennial with wonderful spiky silvery flowers above spiny dark green leaves with white marbling. It loves full sun and well-drained soil, and looks great in a rockery or gravel garden, or contrasted with softer perennials in a sunny border. Leave the dried seedheads on the plant over winter for continued interest.
