Description:
Helleborus niger - Christmas rose - is a garden favourite because of it is one of the few plants to flower in mid winter. It works well in a shady area, where its white (sometimes pink) flowers are attractively set off by its dark green evergreen foliage.
It will grow in almost any soil, in almost any aspect.
