Description:
Pennisetum setaceum 'Rubrum' is an ornamental grass with dramatic deep burgundy foliage and arching plumes of reddish-purple flowerheads in late summer. It looks wonderful planted in drifts where the flowerheads can catch the breeze, or used as an accent plant in a border. It needs a site in full sun with a well-drained soil, and will need winter protection in frost-prone areas.
