Description:
Grown for its purple leaves, Acer palmatum 'Burgundy Lace is a mid-size, slow growing, low maintenance shrub. In autumn the red-purple leaf colour deepens to a rich dark purple. Like many acers, it prefers a moist but well drained, acid to neutral soil. Exposure to wind or strong sunlight can cause leaf scorch, so this plant is best grown in a sheltered area for the best leaf colour.
