Description:
Anemone are rhizomatous or tuberous rootstocks with a suckering habit.Stems are tall and slender, with leaf growth mainly at the base.Usually white , but sometimes pink,five-petalled flowers, together with pinkish buds are very elegant and decorative against dark backgrounds, or against coarse foliage. Flowers are from late summer into autumn, extending the season of interest for borders. Anemone dislike growing in wet soils, and once established can spread rapidly.Divide and lift to control spread in spring, although they dislike being moved around,if you wish to re-plant.
