Description:
With its dark green, deeply lobed leaves and tall spires of deep blue hooded flowers, Aconitum carmichaelii 'Arendsii' adds colour and interest to the late summer border. It grows best in cool, damp conditions in partial shade, although it will tolerate full sun in a moisture-retentive soil. A sturdy plant, it generally needs no additional support, except in very exposed positions. As an additional bonus, bees and butterflies love the flowers, and slugs tend to avoid it!
