Description:
Macleaya microcarpa 'Kelway's Coral Plum' is a tall, spreading herbaceous perennial with plume-like panicles of tiny pink flowers which create a hazy mist effect above large scallloped blue-green leaves. It does best on moist, well drained soil, and can become invasive on sandy soils. Despite its height, it does not require staking, and looks great in prairie planting schemes where it can be given plenty of space.
